Full Moon Blessings

I am going on retreat from today and am really looking forward to having the time and space to work all I need to and be supported by this wonderful lunar energy while surrounded by wonderful souls!

Before I go offline, I wanted to let you know about a project I am very proud to be part of and also to wish you all Happy Full Moon!

I recently got to make a track for a wonderful project run by Cities and Memory. They archive sounds and ask people from around the world to re-imagine them as pieces of music. For this call, they put forward sounds from global protests.

The sound file I chose to make a track from (Sound Number 34) features people protesting Jeff Sessions and his racist agenda in the US.

The woman leading this ‘street theater’ demonstration speaks with passion and urgency, and I wanted to position her voice as the main element of my track.

My aim is to have the sense of alarm she conveys- the alarm I too feel in relation to the hateful rhetoric, unlawful behaviour and unconscionable agenda of Trump and the GOP- to be the driving force in my piece.

It is called ‘Sound the Alarm’ and you can check it and all the entries here:

Sending you all warm and loving wishes for a beautiful Full Moon. I hope you are all navigating this Eclipse season with ease and in flow- and if you, like myself and many people I know, are finding it intense: remember this is just a cycle and this too shall pass.

With love and light,

Laura.x

Wishing you, Laura, a wonderful lunar retreat while thanking you in hearty reciprocity.Today is Raksha Bandhan, coinciding with full-moon day in the month of Shravan as per Hindu calendar, to celebrate the love between brother and sister. The sister ties a Rakhi, sacred thread, on her brother’s wrist as an expression of love and prayer for his well-being.The brother, in turn, vows to protect her from harm. Raksha Bandhan literally means, ‘knot of protection’. In a spiritual sense, it is the assurance of divine protection as no human being has the capability to afford full protection to another against life’s vicissitudes. It, therefore, carries the message that one’s good deeds are the armour that comes for protection at all times under all events. And continual generation of good deeds only happens when one maintains deep connection with the higher Self, or soul, the reservoir of peace, love, purity and power. The tilak applied by the sister on her brother’s forehead, after tying the Rakhi, is a symbol of the soul. May I wish you a fulfilling lunar retreat and a refreshing return…🤗…x
