I can’t believe it is already December- 2014 has absolutely flown by!
I hope that all your wishes and goals for 2014 have come to fruition and that you are still holding to your intentions, dreams and beliefs that you are on course for receiving that which hasn’t revealed itself yet!
I talked a lot about the stillness and silence of winter last month; how this time of year can affect us in a positive way, can provide us the perfect environment for going within and listening.
Now December is here, we are truly into winter- and yet, I think it is worth keeping in mind, in 21 days the solstice will happen and on the 22nd we will already be on our way back to the longest day of the year!
“Sometimes our fate resembles a fruit tree in winter. Who would think that those branches would turn green again and blossom. But we hope it, we know it.”
Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe
I left you last month with a poem by the brilliant David Whyte which summed up the theme of stillness and silence. And it also perfectly links to the theme of this month: dreaming.
“Sometimes it takes darkness and the sweet
confinement of your aloneness
to learn
anything or anyone
that does not bring you alive
is too small for you.”
Taken from Sweet Darkness by David Whyte
This is such an important sentiment for us all to remember at all times! “Anything or anyone that does not bring you alive is too small for you.” Try to keep that in mind as you imagine how you want your life to look in 2015.
It is important for us to let go of anything and anyone holding us back from living our lives to the fullest. You are the only one that can live your life. So live it to its fullest and only include in your life those that want you to achieve your dreams and to live joyfully.
Keep with the stillness and silence provided by the cold winter. Make good use of the opportunity for solitude and quiet.
DREAM!
Dream of what you want to achieve, what relationships you want to grow and the new kinds of people you would like to find, where you want to be, where you want to go, what you want to feel: what you want to experience in 2015. Allow yourself to dream big.
Go into the emotions of what your ideal life feels like, really sense it- what it looks like, where you are, who is with you, who is not part of that picture anymore. Truly nurture those dreams and allow them to take root within.
Take the time to embrace and grow your dream-world throughout December!
With love and light,
Laura.x
