It is challenging to be a sensitive, loving being in the current climate.
There are so many people feeling lost and angry, who lash out at those who do not share their world view. Whether they be people who believe in a god or are atheists, there are so many people without faith in themselves.
There are countless unwilling to bring forth- or even acknowledge!- the might that is required to live a life of beauty, love and compassion. There are so many people too willing to go into the negative, constantly in reaction and blaming the world around them instead of taking responsibility for their part in it.
It requires strength to take responsibility for your actions, thoughts and deeds; to allow yourself to truly see all facets of your personality and ego, to see how deep your conditioning goes. It takes bravery to feel pain instead of pretending it’s not there.
It takes courage and discipline to explore our true nature, and great faith and wisdom to find the path to accepting all aspects of ourselves.
Master Yang: You must meditate.
Tiger Chen Lin Hu: Why?
Master Yang: To clear your mind, guide your Chi and gain control.
Tiger Chen Lin Hu: I have control.
Master Yang: No, you have power not control.
Tiger Chen Lin Hu: Power is control.
Master Yang: That is an illusion.
Tiger Chen Lin Hu: It is not an illusion…it’s reality. I live in it, you don’t. What I learn here, I can’t use out there.
Master Yang: How can you use what you have not yet learned? Only when you’ve dispelled these illusions, will you find your way again.
From the film Man of Tai Chi
We are all responsible for our own lives and our own journeys. If you live your life in a bitter way, you will have bitterness reflected back at you. To see beauty in yourself and to act loving towards yourself will bring that love and beauty into the world around you.
“As I walked out the door toward the gate that would lead to my freedom, I knew if I didn’t leave my bitterness and hatred behind, I’d still be in prison.”
So for the month of June, the focus on Resounding Power is the love and beauty around us and within us.
Let’s take the time every day to send love to ourselves and to the world. Let’s each be a beacon of light, grace, strength, beauty and love in a world that can be so dark and unwelcoming at times.
To live your life in a way that brings love and beauty to all you do, can change the world. There are so many of us awake who know this. We need to unite as a community and focus on love and beauty, allowing the world around us to change through this vision.
“Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices, but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence and fulfils the duty to express the results of his thought in clear form.”
With love and light,
Good words. Good read.
This is a beautiful theme! 🙂 Aleya
