The theme for this month’s posts is silence and stillness. Winter is here and so is the time for rest, dreaming and going within.
We so often forget to make time just to be quiet with ourselves and it is so important for our well-being.
Take the time this week to sit quietly and listen to your true Self. Allow yourself to relish in stillness. When the ‘white noise’ of the outside world fades away, it creates the space for your soul to speak. Hear what your soul is saying. Or, in the beautiful words of Rumi:
“What in your life is calling you,
When all the noise is silenced,
The meeting is adjourned…
The lists laid aside,
And the Wild Iris blooms
By itself
In the dark forest…
What still pulls on your soul?”

What still pulls on your soul?
Hopefully nothing. 🙂
Silence is truly the language of the soul, Laura, as amplified in your post and Rumi’s words. Even sounds, to make sense, need to be punctuated by silence; otherwise, it is just cacophony…best wishes.. Raj.
Your words are poetry Raj! Thank you for commenting- and so beautifully!
