You can see from December’s posts, the importance I feel dreaming plays in our lives. In truth, I believe all of this is a dream- so why not make that dream incredible for yourself?!
Oscar Wilde is an endless source of inspiration but this quote in particular resonates deeply:
“Yes: I am a dreamer. For a dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.”
So True!
It can sometimes feel lonely when in a large group of people, you know no one else present sees the world for the potential you see. It can be scary when you realise that you have to make big changes in your lifestyle. You may feel guilty when you come to the conclusion that you need to let go of relationships. Remember though, that just because someone has had a huge involvement in your life in the past, does not mean you are meant to keep that connection when they are no longer a positive force.
As we move through life, our needs, our wants, our dreams, change. To align to these new ideals, we need to let go of people, places, thoughts and activities holding us back from living our best life.
This month’s theme has been all about dreaming- the importance of spending time dreaming up what we want to see come to fruition in the new year and beyond. Going into the feeling of what our ultimate version of next year feels like, truly setting our intentions for the coming year.
I don’t believe in doing resolutions but do think setting the groundwork in our imagination for what we want to experience- what will help our souls to sing- is really important. And when you can see clearly what you want to experience, you will quickly see what in your life is out of alignment with these goals.
Take some time to write down what you have imagined next year will look like for you- what you would like to experience, how you would like your life to feel, the people you would like to see more of, the adventures you would like to take. Then set your intention that all that and more will come to fruition!
“You may say I’m a dreamer, But I’m not the only one. I hope some day you’ll join us. And the world will live as one!”
I leave you for 2014 with the song Dreamer by John Lennon. The lyrics of this song are so beautiful- and it is sung with a sincerity that overwhelms me. I too am one of those dreamers!
If you haven’t truly paid attention to the words before, it is worth taking the time to do so. They really are stunning!
Imagine, John Lennon
Enjoy the night, however you are choosing to spend it. See you in the new year!
With love and light,
