I want to share this beautiful quote from Osho to complete January’s postings on Thought Creates Reality:
“One thing: you have to walk, and create the way by your walking; you will not find a ready-made path. It is not so cheap, to reach to the ultimate realization of truth. You will have to create the path by walking yourself; the path is not ready-made, lying there and waiting for you. It is just like the sky: the birds fly, but they don’t leave any footprints. You cannot follow them; there are no footprints left behind.”
The destination may be the same for all of us but we each have to find our own way of getting there.
“You have to walk, and create the way by your walking; you will not find a ready-made path.”
Whether you are spiritually inclined or not, this is a universal truth. If we speak in purely physical terms: we are all going to die someday. How we live our lives- the work we do, the way we feel, the outlook we have, the people we surround ourselves with- are all choices we make as individuals. All of these choices and our interaction with them is what creates our individual reality.
In order to create a new reality for ourselves, we need to be aware of the one we have already created- not always an easy task! Here are some tips you may find helpful:
Be aware of your thoughts- do you always choose the positive or negative outlook on a situation?
Question the origin of your beliefs- did you decide this yourself, or is it a belief you got from your family or friends, or is it a collective consciousness belief? Is it truly something you believe?
Question your use of ‘absolute’ statements- your use of the terms ‘right’ and ‘wrong’. Try not to make grand statements about who you are. Often we make these decisions that “I am a person who does X” or more often than not “I am a person who does not do X”. Try to re-organise these thoughts in a less rigid manner.
Following on from that; question the labels you give yourself and others- then, try not to use any! To label yourself or someone else is restricting.
Question facts given to you from ANY source.
Question the relationships in your life. Are you connected to family and friends through a misplaced sense of duty or because they genuinely add to your life? Who are the people in your life that bring you most joy? What attributes to they have that make it this way? How do you interact with these people- with ease and truth?
It is so important to realise that, from the moment we arrive here on earth, we are programmed. We are programmed to have certain beliefs about ourselves and the world around us. We are given morals and ideas that are not always our own. We are programmed to believe that we have limits- that to be realistic means to set our goals low. We are programmed to believe that there are certain definitive facts about this world and how we are meant to interact with it.
We need to acknowledge all of this programming so that we can question it. Only then can we see the patterns, beliefs and relationships we are holding to, that are holding us back.
Allow yourself to take a break from, or to cut ties with, any relationship that does not feel in alignment with your world in the here and now. Allow yourself to be fluid in your beliefs and actions. Allow yourself to constantly change what is true for you. Be open to everything and the ideas of anyone. Allow yourself to put you first. Allow yourself to create your perfect world.
When we see all is fluid and we can change anything, we can start to make steps towards creating the world we want to live in. Thought creates reality- so question and choose your thoughts carefully.
When you know what you want your world to look like: create it!
With love and light,
